Andreas Panagopoulos

I am a Professor at the Economics Department, University of Crete. I hold a PhD from UCL, I lectured economics at Lancaster Management School and the University of Bristol, I was an RTN scholar at the University of Toulouse, and a visiting scholar at the Department of Management Strategy and Innovation at KU Leuvenand the Law Department, University of Oxford. Building on a life long interest on the forces that shape innovation, I employ the tools of management science and economics to rethink the role of patents as R&D incentives.
Panagiotis Skartados
mathematical economics and economic theory
I was born and raised in Athens, Greece. I hold a Bachelor and a Master in Applied Mathematics, and a Master in Accounting and Finance. I decided to go for a PhD in Economics to explore mathematical methods in economic theory. I am interested in industrial organization, game theory, and microeconomic theory.

Antonis Proestakis
I am an independent researcher in Behavioural Economics collaborating with the University of Crete and the Agricultural University of Athens. My scientific research focuses on laboratory and field experiments in areas such as cooperation, tax compliance, social networks, skill acquisition and upskilling, and health-related behaviours. I also serve as an external evaluator of Horizon Europe proposals. I worked for nine years as a Policy Officer at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC). I hold a PhD in Economics from the University of Granada, Spain. And I am expected to join the Department of Economics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece, as an Assistant Professor in November 2026.
Eva Petraki
I was born and raised in Greece. I hold a Bachelor's in Veterinary Medicine and an MSc in Medical Informatics and Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and I am currently pursuing a second Bachelor's in Informatics. My background spans machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and LLM-based pipelines, and I am interested in building scalable AI systems that work on real-world data. I contribute to the RELEARN project as a Research Associate, where I develop document intelligence and RAG workflows for automated policy analysis.
